After a year or two of thought, talk, and dreaming, our Camino de Santiago pilgrimage is on the calendar. Plane tickets are bought, lodging is reserved, and it looks like we will have a good many family members (7 of them!) join us for at least part of it. we are walking from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela.

I’ve been prepping by walking a good bit. Ron has created walking paths around our property. He’s covered most of the paths with gravel which enables me to walk them this time of year without walking through poison ivy. We’ve got some great hills to work on endurance.

We will be walking in the fall so weather won’t be so hot. Hopefully we won’t have too much rain or cold weather. Layers and a good rain coat or poncho is necessary.

I am so looking forward to this experience!
